Fund Development
The Hollifield Leadership Center was established as a Christian leadership development learning center for congregational, denominational, and parachurch organizations largely through the generosity of Mrs. Wyndolyn Royster Hollifield, for whom the center is named. Mrs. Hollifield's gift enabled Dr. Jim Royston, Executive Director-Treasurer of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, to realize the dream of providing a unique place for Christian leaders to connect with learning communities for the purpose of reaching their full Kingdom potential. Since its inception, Hollifield has benefited from the generosity of Baptists and others around North Carolina and the Southeast who have given prayers, time, money, and materials to renovate and improve this great facility. How can you help? Opportunities still exist for individuals, churches, and foundations to make an eternal impact for the Kingdom through their gifts to Hollifield. First, pray that Hollifield and its staff and leadership continue the mission of providing an excellent environment for Christian leaders to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ". Second, consider using the services at Hollifield for your church or other group's next retreat. Hollifield offers year-round availability for adult groups with overnight lodging, full meal service, high-tech meeting space, and much more. Your group will love their experience at Hollifield. Third, offer your professional expertise and labor in helping to maintain the facilities at Hollifield. All throughout the year, dedicated friends of Hollifield offer their time and abilities to sprucing up and upgrading the buildings and the grounds at Hollifield. Fourth, consider making a financial contribution to further the work at the Hollifield Leadership Center. Several significant naming opportunities exist on the campus at Hollifield, with large and small fixtures and facilities appropriate for any level of gift. Through the NC Baptist Foundation, we can assist you with maximizing your gifts at the same time you maximize your tax savings. What's Next? The Hollifield Leadership Center and Lake Hickory Learning Communities are living into their future story of becoming one of the premier leadership development retreat centers in North America. Long-term plans include additional lodging and meeting rooms, recreational opportunities, and upgrading facility infrastructures.
